This paper summarizes findings of research on whether municipal wireless projects are taking the needs of users with disabilities into account. The researchers conducted a survey and comparative analysis of 48 municipalities to determine the degree of accessibility to, or sensitivity to accessibility in municipal wireless networks. They found that, in general, municipal wireless projects are not considering all components of the digital divide within their communities, namely the needs of those with disabilities. Use this resource to find more information and further references on the relationship between municipal wireless networks, the digital divide, and municipal wireless projects.
