Digital Inclusion or Digital Expansion?

This blog addresses the reality of the digital divide, and the distinction between digital inclusion and digital expansion. The article portrays digital inclusion as a catch-all term for providing access to technology, while an important part of including those divided, it does not equate to inclusion. Thus, our idea of of digital inclusion must be expanded to include digital literacy as a part of bringing technology to those feeling the gap of the digital divide. The author calls this expansion, digital expansion, in which everyone is brought on-line, interacting and creating content at the same levels.
