This article asserts that demand for mobile Wi-Fi devices, such as
dual-mode cellular/Wi-Fi phones will increase in 2007, and that these
devices will reach 20 per cent of the total chipset market in 2009.
Specifically, Wi-Fi for voice is expected to take-off following
T-Mobile's nationwide fixed-mobile convergence rollout this year. These
devices could drive further demand for ubiquitous wireless networks.
